Splotches And Drips
Italy Photography Series In 2004, my husband and I took our honeymoon in Italy. Not only had I taken a huge personal step by getting married, but I had also taken a huge professional step by delving into digital photography for the first time. The images in my Italy Series were thus shot with a romantic vision--the rich and romantic artistic, cultural, and historical joie de vivre that is inherent in the people, the land, the food, the architecture, and the arts. When I initially took these photographs, it was merely to document our travels and new life as a couple, with no thought as to selling them as a professional artist. Therefore, all of these images were shot with sharp focus. I do sell them and have them listed online as sharp, clear photographs. However, thanks to the flexibility and near limitless possibilities of the digital darkroom, I decided to put this series together again with a new romantic focus. To do this, I created a softer focus, making them more romantic, more timeless--a bit more vintage. I've listed this series as 8" x 10" prints on Epson Velvet Fine Art paper, which lends a museum quality vintage look to each print. Other sizes are available, up to 13" x 19", so please contact me if you prefer a larger size. I will be adding several more images to my Italy Series beyond this posting, so please stop by and check them out.
