To challenge myself this summer, I’ve been creating palettes that explore summer colors and rendering them into my signature flower abstracts.
As of mid July, I’ve created a total of sixteen original florals. Each one is its own story, manifesting a celebration of both bright and muted summertime hues with an occasional sprinkling of metallic accents of copper, bright yellow gold, and silver.
Blues and teals evoke an earthiness and beachy feel, like splashes of surf and tidal pools…
whereas pinks and purples evoke bright hot summer days…cold watermelon…sunrises and sunsets.
Each original painting is 6 x 6 inches, acrylic on cotton ragg paper and comes matted in a 10 x 10 inch square white mat. All artwork will be grouped in the Summer Series 2024 gallery as it becomes available.
Stop back often for that perfect taste of summer!
